| | DC ACM, A New Tale Hail and well met, one and all.
Welcome to the new DC ACM website and general forum.
The DC chapter of the ACM has come a long way in the past year. The chapter had been declared inactive by ACM Headquarters in the early 2000's, and was dangerously close to total closure.
Instead we've managed to pull ourselves back up and have accomplished much: A number of well-known speakers have come to give talks, we have a new slate of officers, a new website, the Professional Development Committee is working on seminars for fall of 2008, and the Gala Committee is preparing for the 50th anniversary of the chapter on November 1st of this year.
There's still a great deal of work for us to do but we're rolling up our sleeves and getting it done. | |
