Lord British Richard Garriott produced his first published game, Akalabeth, in the summer of 1980 while working at a ComputerLand retail store. In the early 1980s, he began development the legendary Ultima computer game series. Since then he has programmed games on a variety of platforms and has continued to remain one of the shapers of modern game development.
