How to Register for Professional Development Seminars

 Registration

All participants are required to register online regardless of method of payment.

Please read the seminar descriptions carefully.  When you have decided to register, please proceed to the online registration form.  You can register for multiple seminars.

 Cost

The cost is the same for each seminar.

It is possible to use both the "early bird" and member discounts. 

 

For verification purposes, the member discount requires login with the user account that was issued to you when you registered as a DC ACM member.

 

*NOTE: Student Rate applies to full-time students only.  Please show your student ID upon check-in.

 

For your registration fee, you will receive:

  • One book (recommended reading) and other seminar materials
  • Continental Breakfast (for morning seminar attendees)
  • Lunch (for all seminar attendees)
  • Seminar Completion certificate

 Payment Methods

  • Credit Card: Accepted online only; immediate confirmation via email based on space available.  The credit card payment is processed via Google Checkout.  You do not need a Gmail account but you will need to register your email account if you have not already.
  • Personal Check: Register first, then mail your check within 5 business days. Your spot in the seminar will be held but not confirmed until the check is received and clears. If there is waiting list for the seminar, and we do not receive your check, your registration will be cancelled and your spot will be given to the person at the top of the waiting list.

 Waiting List

  • The registration capacity for each seminar is 20 students.
  • You will be contacted if your name is placed on a waiting list.
  • Your payment will not be processed until you are confirmed for the seminar due to a cancellation or lack of payment from another registrant.

 Cancellation Policy

  • You will be given a refund only if your spot is taken by another registrant.
  • In lieu of refunds, we also allow free substitutions – if you paid but cannot attend you may send a replacement. Please notify the registrar in advance.
  • DC ACM reserves the right to cancel a seminar with insufficient registration. Registrants for a cancelled seminar will be notified and their fee will be fully refunded.

Parking: The closest visitor garage is at 2211 H Street ($16 per day maximum)
Street parking is metered (2 hours maximum).
