The Washington Chapter of the Association for Computing
Machinery (ACM) started offering Professional Development Seminars in 1968.
Traditionally, these seminars have presented high-quality lectures and hands-on
learning on topics of current interest to the local IT community for a
relatively low cost. DC ACM is a nonprofit organization dedicated to
providing opportunities for meaningful connections between the area’s academics,
professionals, and policymakers in the computer science and information
technology fields. The proceeds from the seminars support DC ACM activities such
as computer science lectures for the general public and awards for junior and
senior high school students at regional science fairs.
For the Spring 2010 seminars, DC ACM is proud to partner with
DC-SIGGRAPH, the local chapter of the ACM's special interest group for computer
graphics professionals.
